Revitalising WA’s regional lakes
The ‘Living Lakes’ initiative aims to revitalise natural lakes in WA’s Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions, including Lake Yealering and Lake Ewlyamartup on the Traditional lands of the Willman and Koreng Noongar people.
The project combines innovative engineering and foreshore planning to improve lake amenities, usability, visitation, inundation management, and water quality.
As part of Stage 3, Ecoscape was engaged to consult with community reference groups for both lakes to identify development priorities. These were gathered through a series of workshops and informed the construction documentation developed by us.
Ecoscape worked closely with Wheatbelt NRM to ensure the designs aligned with community aspirations while staying within a limited project budget.
