Projects with purpose
We love the natural and the built environment and acknowledge that both are inextricably linked. Our passion is using the tools of science and design to create a better world, creating a dialogue between place and nature, people and economy, sustainability and well-being. As an organisation, our values drive the type of projects we choose to work on, and we hire values-driven individuals. Those who join us will be passionate about delivering innovative and collaborative work.
Team culture
We’re proud of our culture at Ecoscape. We are a team of people who value openness, genuine collaboration, and rigorous, purposeful work. Our office environment is designed to inspire productivity, collaboration and connection. When we’re not in the field or deep in design, you’ll find us sharing ideas at the kitchen bench or solving issues over a coffee at a local cafe.

Ecoscape has provided me with a supportive environment as I develop my career. I am mentored by a team of wonderful professionals who want to see me achieve my career goals, and provide me opportunities to advance my skills.

Flexible work options
We know life is complex and doesn’t stop while you are at work. Ecoscape welcomes flexibility in the workplace, whether it’s shifting your hours for school pick-ups, working from home, or balancing caring commitments with a part-time role. If you need flexibility to be able to thrive at work and at home, then we want to work with you to achieve this.

As a busy working mum, Ecoscape fully supported me to go part-time. I split my work between the office and home, and this flexibility helps me to feel valued and supported. Ecoscape is also great at acknowledging their employees, whether it’s highlighting staff achievements or recognising employment milestones; they show how much they value and appreciate their people. This is why I have been with Ecoscape for so long; they are family.

Employee acknowledgement
We love to celebrate our people!
We celebrate birthdays each month as a team and offer an extra day of leave for employees each year to be with family and friends. We acknowledge the efforts of our team, whether it’s a long-term career milestone at Ecoscape, leaving to pursue other career opportunities, or retiring to enjoy some well-earned R&R.
Any excuse to get together and celebrate!
Professional membership and development
In the pursuit of knowledge and innovation, we encourage all staff to join their relevant industry body or institute and make the most of opportunities to access professional development and build relationships. Whether you’re a landscape architect, environmental scientist or in a support service role, Ecoscape will reimburse the annual fee of your professional membership as soon as you pass probation.

I’ve had the opportunity at Ecoscape to work on a range of unique projects—designing spaces that reflect community values while enhancing and preserving the natural landscape. The flexibility in work options supports a work-life balance, keeping me passionate and focused on the work I do.

Support and safety
Depending on your role, there might be additional requirements to make sure you are safe and connected on-site or in the field. Ecoscape has a variety of allowances to assist in ensuring you have the tools and equipment necessary to do your best work.

Ecoscape is supportive of my career passions and provides opportunities for me to achieve personal job satisfaction. The team are great to work with and make the job enjoyable and rewarding.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
At Ecoscape value your wellbeing and mental health – but sometimes we all need a little expert help. Instant access to our EAP provides high quality, professional counselling services for Ecoscape employees and their families to use confidentially, voluntarily and completely free of charge. Qualified counsellors can assist in finding initial solutions or strategies to deal with personal or work-related issues, with a focus on services which encourage wellbeing, engagement and empowerment in the workplace.
Salary sacrifice
Ecoscape offers eligible staff the opportunity to purchase an electronic device or work-related item that is exempt from fringe benefits tax, extra superannuation payments, or purchase up to two weeks of additional Annual Leave every year.

Ecoscape has provided me the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in many interesting and remote parts of WA. It’s particularly satisfying to deliver projects that inform planning policy to help protect the biophysical and social values of the environment. Ecoscape also encourages professional development to improve and diversify our skill set and keep up to date with best practices which fosters career progression and high-quality project work.
