Providing travelers with a welcome stop en route to Wave Rock

Kulin Visitor Discovery Zone is a welcoming public park located in the Wheatbelt town of Kulin, designed to celebrate regional tourism along the iconic Tin Horse Highway. As a high-quality public space, the park enhances the visitor experience, encouraging longer stays and repeat tourism. The site’s planning reflects the unique character of Kulin and the Eastern Wheatbelt, and encourages travelers to stop and experience what the town of Kulin has to offer.

Co-designed with the community, the park fosters local pride and a sense of ownership. The design creates a cohesive link between the park’s cultural, recreational, and civic elements, and local character and artworks are showcased to strengthen identity and a sense of place. Extensive revegetation throughout the Discovery Zone enhances both the ecological and visual appeal of the space.
