Pilbara Vegetation Health Monitoring
In 2019 Ecoscape was appointed by a Pilbara mining company to conduct its annual vegetation health monitoring that is required to comply with statutory requirements and its own management. Ecoscape has been conducting this company’s annual monitoring since 2016, and some aspects for several years before that.

The monitoring was required at operational and infrastructure sites including along rail line corridors and port facilities, as well as control (reference) sites that are not expected to be affected by the company’s operations. The vegetation health monitoring includes mangroves, groundwater dependant vegetation, mulga vegetation (sheet flow dependant), TEC and PEC vegetation as well as vegetation supporting conservation-listed flora species.
