Mary Carroll Park, Gosnells

In 2013, the City of Gosnells identified the need to embrace and enhance their local natural and recreational asset, Mary Carroll Park, not only for the Gosnells community but also for visitors and future generations. Ecoscape in collaboration with Creative Spaces were engaged to prepare the Vision Plan; not only for the community but with the local community.
The MCP Vision Plan will be the community’s long-term aspiration that describes their goals and the outcomes that need to be achieved for the future. The Vision Plan will:

  • reflect the values and beliefs of those who have contributed through the engagement process
  • project well into the future, is enduring yet flexible and not time bound
  • be grounded in the existing strengths and opportunities of the MCP precinct
  • be ambitious in that it seeks the highest quality outcome and builds confidence through shared aspiration.

Through shared responsibility, collaborative ideas and a culture of innovation the challenges of Mary Carroll Park Precinct will be approached with respect for the complex social and environmental assets making Mary Carroll Park Precinct an extraordinary place for the community to live, students to learn and visitors to experience.
Ecoscape have recently submitted the Final Vision Plan and detailed costings to provide the City of Gosnells with a comprehensive and dynamic document which can be used to seek funding for the project over a number of years.
