The Fitzgerald River National Park is located on the south coast of Western Australia in one of the most botanically diverse regions in the world. The aim of this $40 million project is to improve tourist access and facilities and assist economic and social development in the surrounding communities.
The concept plan provides strategic planning for a six-day trail with overnight stops and loops to afford a range of landscape experiences and trail difficulty. The plan includes site and marketing analysis; interpretation theme; principles of construction methods and management; probable costs; visitor risk assessment and community consultation plan.
