Bridgetown Biomass Power Station

Ecoscape undertook the environmental and visual impact assessment of a site proposed for the construction of a biomass power station.

The study site’s environmental values were investigated for impacts with respect to visual amenity, flora, fauna and land capability. Ecoscape made recommendations in relation to the visual impacts of the proposed plant. These included the retention of an existing bluegum plantation and the revegetation of a buffer around the plant to provide adequate screening. Local and native trees and understorey species were recommended as appropriate for screening.
