Ecoscape is one of Perth’s leaders in providing trails planning & design services across Western Australia. Trails help users to learn interactively by experiencing the trail and its highlights, developing the user’s knowledge and understanding of a region. Trails provide a number of benefits to the community and the trail users including education, tourism, connection between proposed and existing trail networks, and increased community participation in arts and culture. Western Australia has a rich and diverse social and environmental landscape providing many opportunities for trail design and implementation.

Our Approach

Ecoscape’s multi-disciplinary approach ensures that trails provide creative and engaging interpretive features and allow users to fully experience the cultural and natural dynamics of a site. To guide the design of trail alignments we develop an understanding of the current biophysical, social, economic and cultural situation of the site as we recognise the potential impacts trail construction can have on a site. We work collaboratively with local land owners and cultural advisors in identifying the opportunities and constraints associated with each site. We utilise our extensive knowledge of trail standards and CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) principles with our experience in the development and implementation of trail design to ensure we deliver innovative trail solutions.
