Ecoscape is proud to announce that it has received an award from AILA for Research and Communications for our research project ANEC: Australia’s Northern Eco-city. The award was recently announced at the 2014 WA AILA Awards held at Kidogo art house in Fremantle. The jury comment was as follows: “This carefully articulated vision for a new Australian capital tackles the challenges of Australia’s ’empty north-west’. It is a striking and well-articulated proposal for the development of Northern Australia, and promotes Australia as a leader in sustainable settlement design.”

ANEC has been an ongoing self funded project by Ecoscape, aimed to explore the idea of a new northern city in WA. A city unencumbered by the template of an existing settlement, one that is a beacon for sustainability and a driver for northern Australian development.
