Perth’s Central Institute of Technology located in East Perth has been awarded a six star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia for the “Greenskills” building of which Ecoscape was a partner in the design team.

“This building demonstrates what’s possible from an open-minded approach to environmentally sustainable design,”

Michael Thompson, AECOM Senior Engineer – Buildings Applied Research & Sustainability

Ecoscape developed detailed designs of the landscape component in collaboration with Woodhead Architects and the project team integrating 3 tiered recycled water systems (black/grey/yellow) into the campus irrigation systems. The facility was officially opened in early 2015. The design is a landmark for Western Australia in terms of sustainable architecture.

Perth news website Perth Now published an article on the green credentials of the building here.

Online sustainable architecture & property magazine The Fifth Estate, self described as “Australia’s leading business newspaper for the sustainable built environment and the people and issues that surround it”, published an article on the building along with interviews of some of the design team here.
